RESEARCH PAPER COMPETITION – (Winter-2007)

 

RULES FOR ENTRY

 

 

  1. The Council have selected “HR Intervention for Organizational Turn Around” as the subject for the Institute’s Research Paper Competition – (Winter-2007).

 

  1. The competition is open to all and carries cash awards of Rs 110,000/- (and a Gold Medal), Rs 80,000/- and Rs 55,000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively for the best research papers securing minimum 60% marks.

 

  1. The paper must be research based and well documented.

 

  1. The research paper must not bear the name of the competitor. Instead, it must be accompanied with the Entry Form duly filled in.

 

  1. The research paper must reach the Chief Executive, Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road, Karachi-74200, by September 30, 2007.

 

  1. The research paper must be approximately of 3500 to 4000 words in length excluding annexure, if any. Papers beyond or below this limit will stand disqualified.

 

  1. The research paper must be type-written in English and sent in quintuplicate (five copies) and soft copy on CD.

 

  1. Insertion of extracts from published articles should be avoided, as far as possible, but if well-known authorities are quoted, such quotations should be suitably acknowledged in the research paper.

 

  1. The decision of the Council on the award of prizes shall be final and every candidate, by submitting his/her entry, shall be deemed to have agreed to accept the decision of the Council as final and binding on him/her.

 

  1. The Council reserves to itself the right to withhold in its absolute discretion all or any of the prizes without assigning any reason.

 

  1. The Council reserves to itself the right to publish, in the Institute’s Journal or in any other publication, the research papers selected for the award of prizes.

 

  1. The research papers selected for award of prizes shall become the exclusive property of and the copy right therein shall vest in the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. The candidate shall not without the prior written permission from the Institute, give for publication elsewhere the research paper submitted to the Institute, until the result is announced.  After the result is announced, the candidate shall not at any time in future give the award winning research paper for publication elsewhere or otherwise make any use of the same.

 

Competitors are required to observe the above rules strictly.  Failure to do so will render their research papers liable to be disqualified.
